I went to a crop last weekend at a local ski hill. It was cozy – only about twenty people. Good fun, good food and good to get away for a couple of days of girl time. Here’s what I managed to complete.
This was inspired by Shimelle’s 4×6 Photo Love class from September. I loved the idea for a single page layout that included nine photos. Perfect for my littlest’s birthday party photos. Actually I’ve been loving her class more and more as the year goes on and the number of photos increases. Can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeves for November and December.
I love this goofy photo of us from Grouse Mountain in Vancouver last year. So typical of us. As usual Don & Colin are the only ones looking at the camera.
Used another of Shimelle’s 4×6 Photo Love sketches, this time from April. I changed it to a three photo page by leaving out the flap under the title block.
This is one of my favourite techniques lately. So simple and I love the dimension it adds, especially when I use a heavyweight paper like My Mind’s Eye.
Still have a couple of pages to finish that I started at the crop. Decided that one needed some mist which I didn’t bring with me. Another needed the title cut out with a Cricut. Hope to finish those tonight or tomorrow.
Getting ready to scrap some more at Cocoa Daisy’s Fall online crop next weekend. It will be a star-studded affair, with lots of challenges, games, classes and plenty of shenanigans, no doubt. Be sure to sign up for Bingo, it’s fast and competitive and highly addictive .
